In the mid 1940's, KORDEN was commissioned to provide custom built undercounter products for several local financial institutions. These items included specialized storage units for various notes and documents as well as mobile buses for the transportation of cash and coin.

At the time there was no real engineering department established, but rather a very talented group of individuals who could look at a crude drawing, make a few calculations, assign a few dimensions, and manufacture a working prototype. Many of the units that were manufactured in those days have evolved into the units that we provide our bank customers today.

In the early 1980's the company was purchased by its present owner and the company began to experience unprecedented growth. These many specialized units were homogenized into groups of like products and marketed to local financial institutions with tremendous success.

Over the last 15 years, the product line has grown to include items that would find their way into mainstream corporate environments. These items include Lateral Files, Bookcases, Shelf Files, Desk Pedestals, and our newest addition, UL Classified Fire Resistant Files.
