UL Testing

The UL Classification assures you the level of protection necessary to safeguard documents in the event of a fire. KORDEN offers two levels of record protection equipment recognized by UL as both "Fire Resistant" and "Fire and Impact Resistant."

The UL label is an assurance that a file's interior temperature will not exceed 350 degrees fahrenheit while subjected to external temperatures of 1,700 degrees during a one hour period. Why can't the drawer temperature exceed 350 degrees? Quite simply, that's the temperature at which paper begins to burn.
